How to configure Opera 10 Mail

1) Open account settings
In Opera, go to the "Tools" menu, and select "Mail and Chat Accounts".
2) Create a new account
Choose "Yes" when prompted to create a new account.
3) E-Mail account
Select the "E-Mail" option and click "Next".
4) Identity
Enter your name and your email address and click "Next".
STOP: IMAP or POP3?
At this point you need to decide whether you will use IMAP or POP3 to check your email.IMAP stores all of your email on the server (also making it available via webmail), and allows you to categorise your messages into folders.
POP3 is generally used where you only have one computer as it is designed to download (and delete) your mail from the server.
If unsure, use IMAP as it offers enhanced functionality and an easy migration path to POP3 if required later.
5a) User Information for IMAP
Enter your full email address as the "Login Name", along with your password.Choose "IMAP" as the account type.
Click "Next".

Enter your full email address as the "Login Name", along with your password.Choose "Regular e-mail (POP)" as the account type.
Click "Next".
6a) Server Information for IMAP
Enter the same server name for both incoming and outgoing email - "mail.keystroke-hosting.co.uk".You must also tick both "Use secure connection (TLS)" boxes.
Click "Finish".
6b) Server Information for POP3
Enter the same server name for both incoming and outgoing email - "mail.keystroke-hosting.co.uk".You must also tick both "Use secure connection (TLS)" boxes.
You can choose to leave messages on the server if you wish.
Click "Finish".
7) Open account settings
Once back in Opera's main window, go to the "Tools" menu, and select "Mail and Chat Accounts" once again.
8a) Edit account for IMAP
Select the newly-created IMAP account and click "Edit".
8b) Edit account for POP3
Select the newly-created POP3 account and click "Edit".
9a) Advanced Server Settings for IMAP
Open the "Servers" tab.Ensure the "Incoming IMAP Server" port number is "993".
Ensure the "Outgoing SMTP Server" port number is "465".
Ensure that both "Secure connection (TLS)" boxes are ticked.
Click "OK".
9b) Advanced Server Settings for POP3
Open the "Servers" tab.Ensure the "Incoming POP Server" port number is "995".
Ensure the "Outgoing SMTP Server" port number is "465".
Ensure that both "Secure connection (TLS)" boxes are ticked.
Click "OK".
